DHC has just gained access to what is unquestionably the best wire commercially available. It is a very special solid 24awg ultrapure OCC silver wire with a proprietary insulation and shape, a brand-new offering from the best OCC metals facility in the world - we call it RS OCC silver. It is different from round/cylindrical wires that we have used in the past in that it is shaped specially to maximize surface area for the signal to travel upon, letting it easily outperform previous varieties of silver.
How do these cables sound? Well, to put it in few words - we hear a lot of cable skepticism on Head-Fi, and we feel that this cable will "convert" even the most stubborn of cable haters. Their effect is instant and obvious, completely transforming our balanced test system when the RS OCC Silver XLR cables and Audez'e cables were installed. There is absolutely no question that these are the best cables DHC has ever produced, and are a significant upgrade over all of our previous cables - we are in the process of replacing all of our own cables with RS silver cables as a result. There is no reason for us to spend vast sums of our own money and many, many days of our time to replace what was already our top of the line cables in our system, if these cables were not absolutely revolutionary. On the LCD-2s, the effect is eye-opening. The bass is razor-sharp and subterranean, the imaging is as flawlessly clear as our HD800s, with the potent weight of the orthodynamic sound preserved. The sound overall is much more convincing and representative to us of an actual performance or real instruments, possessing a very "3D" character. We get this increase in performance even using solely RS silver XLR interconnects between amp and DAC, with further gains coming when an RS silver headphone cable is added. We believe that even the most experienced listeners and tough customers will get exactly what they are looking for in these cables.
We are offering this wire in special custom versions of our Molecule, Clone, and Complement cables, and making it standard in our flagship Spore headphone cable. These modifications to the existing headphone cable designs have been very costly but well worth the effort to extract the maximum potential from this silver.
These cables are a bit less flexible than our other cables and should be handled with care. The RS Silver Molecule is exceptionally light & portable. Please be careful with these cables on the go - while we go to great lengths to make our products as tough as possible, these are special cables and should be treated as such.

Statement headphone cable consisting of separate shielded & dampened cables for each of the four signal wires and aerospace-developed ultra light shielding for optimum comfort. Makes cable geometry, wire to wire interactions, and the outside world irrelevant to cable performance. Includes silver metallic silica fiber sleeving - an ultra soft, sleek outer fabric covering.
